Here is a home for all of you are there who have a passion for mountain: the Walensee House comes from K_M Architektur and is located on the shores of Lake Walensee in Switzerland. A beautiful display of Swiss simplicity, this amazing wooden home adds a human touch to an otherwise pristine and untouched landscape. It would be redundant to comment on the incredible views that this place offers, so we will just emphasize on the project’s optimization of the indoor-outdoor connection. This home’s walls are mostly large windows, allowing the inhabitants to take advantage of the fascinating natural environment. Each room has a minimalist interior design and features breathtaking views. We really like to see that the architects chose wood for the finishing touch, a great way to integrate the home in its surroundings. Enjoy the photos and let yourself be carried away, even if it is just for a few seconds.

Casa en Mera (La Coruña) de A-cero

If you read Freshome.com for some time you might be aware that A-cero is a comapany that has lots of projects on our website, and today they sent us another really cool house. In this post A-cero presents one of its first residential projects: a single-family house of 250m2 that tales place in Mera, a coastal village of La Coruña. It is a construction with a simple design based on straight lines and geometrical volumes. These architectural pieces have been created as terraces and corbels in the back façade from where is possible to see the spectaculars views of Atlantic Ocean. Limestone covered the whole building. Furthermore the housing’s façade includes many large windows that give a lot of luminosity and spaciousness sensation. It is a threes-story building (basement, ground and first floor).

The main access is locate din the left side. From this area the visitor is leaded until the lounge and living room. These rooms have a roof with double high and wide windows that look towards the porch and the exterior swimming pool. Kitchen is also communicated with these social rooms. The upper floor includes two bedrooms with terraces, bathrooms and dressing rooms. The garage and utilities rooms are in the basement. Although A-cero designed this project looking for make the most space and light, it is important to stand out that the building work management and interior design were not made by A-cero. – Material sent to us by : Teresa Rodriguez Parrizas

Casa en Manhattan beach, California

Manhattan beach, California is the place where Steve Lazar from Lazar Design/Build built a home for his family. The beach environment sets a perfect scene for this contemporary home that welcomes guests with an amazing array of Mangaris wood steps accompanied by a small river flowing over riverbed stones. Actually, the whole house which stands 3 floors tall is embellished on the outside with stained and polished Mangaris wood. A relaxing beach feeling fills the rooms just like the coastal breeze that gently caresses all the rooms after passing by the huge windows and sliding glass doors. The shoreline view has a spectacular effect from inside the contemporary adorned living spaces. Using brown to accentuate the comfortable feeling of home, the designer fluidly reconstructed an open space using modern furniture and accents of blue and green. The nature helps recreate the effect of sweet dreams with every sunset.

White seating areas throughout the house balance the white walls for an incredible visual effect. The bathroom and kitchen mosaic tiles lay the canvas for the modern furniture with stainless steel accents. A living area on the first floor opens into an internal patio – a small luxurious retreat for evenings filled with fresh Californian air. Almost all the windows are framed with an intense shade of brown to accentuate sunlight and make a connection to the outside wood finishes. A glorious home on a perfect beach says more about the inhabitants than anything else: people who love nature and its beauty inspire others to recreate incredible interiors in their own homes.
